Pre-Collision Braking

This system was designed to mitigate rear-end collisions as much as possible. In events where the vehicle in front of you comes to an abrupt stop or something similar, this system can take over and apply pressure to the brakes if you don’t have enough time to react.

Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control

Cruise control isn’t new, but Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control takes things to a new level. In addition to being able to set a cruising speed, this system will make sure you maintain a safe distance from the car in front of you as well.

Automatic Emergency Steering

Another way to avoid potential collisions is this system, which works similarly but with the added benefit of being able to steer around the obstacle in your path if it is determined that there is enough room to do so within your lane and no oncoming traffic is sensed.

Lane Departure and Sway Warning

If this system determines that you are going to depart your lane without the proper turn indicator being signaled, it will offer a warning to make sure you’re alert. The same can be said if it’s determined you’re swaying back and forth within your lane.

Pre-Collision Throttle Management

One final rear-end collision mitigator, the Pre-Collision Throttle Management system takes over in events where you start going but the vehicle in front of you isn’t as quick to realize the light turned green, for example. It can take over even while you’re applying pressure to the gas, reducing the amount of power delivered to the engine.

Lane Centering & Lane Departure Prevention

These two features are built into the previous two, with Lane Centering working alongside Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control. When you turn this feature on, it will help keep you centered within your lane in addition to its other features. Lane Departure Prevention will take the warning to the next level, correcting your position in the lane even if AACC and Lane Centering aren’t on.
