One of the oldest and without a doubt most iconic models currently on the Subaru lineup, the Outback always seems to be a favorite for customers. This midsize crossover entered its sixth generation back in 2020 and got a mid-generation refresh in 2023, so not much needed to change for the 2024 Subaru Outback before shipping out across the country. Even still, there were a few exciting adjustments that we’ll touch on. We cannot wait for the newest Outback to arrive here in Topeka, Kansas, and if you’re in the market for a dependable utility vehicle you should definitely give it some consideration.

What’s new for 2025?

As we mentioned, there weren’t any drastic changes for the 2025 model year as the Outback is still pretty fresh from its last facelift. Still, the automaker did make a few adjustments by adding some features to the list of what comes standard in the Limited trim level. This includes the Power Moonroof, DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System, SUBARU STARLINK 11.6” Navigation System and a 360-degree heated steering wheel. These features add even more value to the Limited trim level.

As always, there are several different trim level options for shoppers to choose from so that you know you’re getting exactly the Subaru Outback that you want. The list of available options this year starts with the Base model and moves up to Premium, Onyx Edition, Limited, Touring, Onyx Edition XT, Wilderness, Limited XT and Touring XT. Each of the XT trim levels and, of course, Wilderness upgrade from the standard 2.5L engine to a 2.4L turbocharged option that boosts output from 182 to 260 horsepower.
