The final member of the Subaru lineup has finally been detailed for the 2024 model year. Following in the footsteps of the recently announced WRX, the all-electric 2024 Subaru Solterra has been unveiled with several improvements and new features. One important thing to note up top is that, despite these improvements and additional features, the price hasn’t changed at all for the new model year! What’s new for 2024?
The vehicle’s charging performance is one big aspect that has been improved this year, as the high-capacity lithium-ion battery will now be able to charge from 10% to 80% in roughly 35 minutes. Subaru EyeSight is now standard across the board, bringing it in line with the rest of the lineup. Additional new features include a redesigned steering wheel including heating and regenerative braking force paddle switches, standard ventilated front seats and standard roof rails.
EV Range & Charging
Thanks to the updates, charging will be quicker and more efficient than ever. The battery conditioning system has also been upgraded so that now the vehicle can charge much faster even in freezing conditions. As for range, nothing has changed there, but we thought it important to remind you. On a full charge the vehicle is capable of traveling up to 227 miles and its all-electric powertrain enables it to generate up to 215 horsepower.
Subaru EyeSight
In addition to all of the other improvements and new features already touched on, the 2024 Solterra will also introduce a few new advanced driver-assistive safety features tied into Subaru EyeSight that haven’t yet been included on other vehicles in the lineup. This includes the ability for the vehicle to travel in its lane at speeds up to 25 miles per hour with only supervision from the driver, no hands necessary. It also now includes Front Cross Traffic Alert and DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System.
