With the sixth generation having just kicked off in 2020, the vehicle is still relatively fresh before any upgrades. Even still, Subaru decided to add some new safety features and other tech inside the vehicle, while updating a bit of its styling. The front fascia has been updated with a more prominent grille than previous iterations, as well as new LED headlight designs. In addition, the wheel arch cladding has been expanded. As for upgraded features, EyeSight has been updated with the latest control software, an electric brake booster, and a wider field of view.

Front and center within the base trim level for the Outback is the STARLINK dual 7" display screens, while the Premium trim level upgrades to the newest STARLINK 11.6" Multimedia Plus system. While the standard system offers Bluetooth connectivity and SiriusXM radio, it doesn't offer much beyond that in the way of connectivity. The new, upgraded Multimedia Plus system, however, comes equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto in addition to the aforementioned features. Plus, you can opt for the available Navigation upgrade to boot!

For the 2023 model year, you'll have plenty of different trim levels and more from which to choose. The base trim level kicks things off with plenty of content, but naturally the least amount. You can upgrade to the Outback Premium first and foremost, which has two different upgrade packages available to make it yours. From there, you can opt for the special Onyx Edition trim level, which has a package upgrade of its own. Additional trim levels moving up the ladder include Limited, Touring, Onyx Edition XT, Wilderness, Limited XT and Touring XT. Limited and Wilderness also have available packages.
