Normally this is where we would highlight what's new this year, but after last year's facelift Subaru didn't need to touch anything on the Forester. So, instead, we'll highlight some of the crossover's technical specs. Powered by a 2.5L SUBARU BOXER engine, it's capable of generating up to 182 horsepower alongside 176 pound-feet of torque while achieving up to 33 miles per gallon on the highway.

Including the aforementioned Forester Wilderness, which slides into the lineup right between the Limited and top-of-the-line Touring trim levels, the Forester is available in a total of six trim levels. The other three include Premium, Sport and, of course, the base Forester trim. Each of these trim levels, with the exception of Touring, have an available package that enhances the crossover's value even further.

Naturally, the 2023 Forester comes standard with the latest iteration of the award-winning Subaru EyeSight suite of safety technologies, which was also introduced last year. The upgraded system offers superior performance for its various safety features over its predecessor. In addition, models equipped with Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Keep Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert will also feature Automatic Emergency Steering.
