2023 Subaru Crosstrek vs 2023 Kia Seltos

Power & Performance
Ignoring the Crosstrek Hybrid for this comparison, the Subaru Crosstek is offered with two different engine options. It comes standard with a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine capable of generating 152 horsepower and achieving 30 miles per gallon combined with the CT. You can upgrade to a 2.5L with 182 hp and 29 mpg combined. For the Seltos, you get a 2.0L 4-cylinder with 146 hp and 31 mpg to start or you can upgrade to a 1.6L turbo with 175 hp and 29 mpg.

Space & Capacity
Although both models are subcompact crossovers with seating for up to five, the interior cabin of the Crosstrek is slightly more spacious as it offers 100.9 cubic feet of passenger volume in comparison to the 99.0 cu. ft. of the Seltos. Furthermore, the Crosstrek offers 20.8 cu. ft. of space behind its rear seats or 55.3 cu. ft. with those seats folded flat. Unfortunately, the Seltos does get the nod here, as it offers more 26.6 cu. ft. and 62.8 cu. ft. respectively.

EyeSight vs DriveWise
Finally, we wanted to make sure we touched on driver-assistive safety technology as it's one of the most important aspects of any vehicle. Shoppers can opt for a Crosstrek model with a CVT in order to get the award-winning Subaru EyeSight suite of technologies, whereas the different Kia Drive Wise features are split apart and only some are standard on different trim levels.
